Generally small entrepreneurship means sole proprietorship business. It started at the first time in the world. So this kind of business is ancient form of business. Sole proprietorship means the one owner. Who invest time and money for earning profit by the doing business. The owner also suffers for business lost. The business has unlimited liability. But the business is too easy for the management.

Small business is a kind of business. So it has some rule and objective to manage the business properly.

Books and stationery shop. It sale manly educationally instrument. Its sale books, pens, files, pencils, and note books. Location on 21, Pallabi Shopping Center, Mirpur, Dhaka-1216. The location of the shop is very good. It located in the hart of the Mirpur. So it can get the customer easily. And all people can know about the shop quickly. It started in 1986. The owner manages the business. He has some employees. In the past all the workers were part time. But now there are mixed worker.

The name of the owner is S.K. Abul Hasanat. He is 50 years old. He has graduate in B.Sc. He is from Nouga. His main job is managing the business. He has no child. So his family member is two. He stated the business in 1986 with 40,000 BDT. Now his investment is 500,000 BDT.

He thought that he could make a business. He wanted earn money with legal way. That’s why he started the business. He also wanted work with freedom. He doesn’t like any boss above him.

In 1986 he thought for a business in Mirpur. He found out the way of business. He noticed that there were no books stole. So he thought he can make a business for the book. When he started the business there were no competitor but now he has to face more competition. 

The owner started the business with his own money. He found out for bank lone but he wasn’t get. So he owed money from his relative.    

Habib Books as a sole proprietorship

The owner manages the business. He has no partner. So the business is sole proprietorship business. The owner is proud for his own ownership. And also the owner can make profit or other job opportunity.  He gets some advantage as a sole proprietor. He can take decision along and quickly. He gets all profit. The business has no any extra tax. So it is great opportunity for him to express himself.

The main problem of the business is unlimited liability. There is no any shear for lost the business. The owner has some limited for invest the money. He can not make big or increase the business. It has limited growth. Some time it is too difficult to manage the business along.

Marketing for the Habib Books

It is a business organization so it has marketing process. It’s role as a middle business. The shop buys product from the whole seller and sale the product to consumer. So the business is directly related with consumer and it does know the consumer demand better then producer. That’s why the owner now starts a new idea about the note book. Recently the owner started to produce good and best quality note books. The product produce in the note books factory but the idea and name of the product is the shop. So we can see the owner research the market.

It also maintains the marketing mix. The organization has no extra promotion for the business. But the shop makes advertisement by its old and good relationship. Now the shop indirectly produces the product. So the owner maintains the product. Fixed the price for selling .Even the owner buys the product from the market. Add all the cost and profit then sale the product. Some time the owner research the marketing needs. Then inform the producer about the needs for the consumer.
